Ken Lester

Ken Lester joins the pastoral team at Life Center as Director of Assimilation and Volunteer Development. His role will be to create systems for incorporating new attendees into the life of the church and to develop ways in which each individual can discover a place of service in the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Ken comes to us from Valley Assembly in Spokane where he served as Family Life Pastor for seven and a half years. Prior to that, he was the Children’s Pastor at Evergreen Christian Community in Olympia for 15 years. While at Valley Assembly, Ken was involved in creating a video venue and also directed a church-wide evangelism effort called Alpha.

Ken has been married to his wife, Carleen, for 28 years. Together they have two adult children: Kendra, who is a Senior at Eastern Washington University, and Jessie, who is a Senior at Seattle Pacific University.

Ken’s passion is to see people find a place to develop lasting relationships in the context of serving the local church and community at large. “When you have found the place where you belong, you have found a place to serve. When you have found a place to serve, you have found a place to belong,” he says.
