Introduction
It’s not easy being a middle school student. Peer pressure, school work, busy schedules, and difficult decisions are enough to drive anyone crazy. REVOLUTION CHURCH is the place where middle school students can cut loose and have a blast while encountering God with their friends!
D-Groups
The heart and soul of REVOLUTION CHURCH is our D-Groups. It is easy to get lost in the big mid-week service so we’ve created D-Groups (stands for discipleship groups… clever huh?), a small group atmosphere where we can break down this thing called Christianity and talk about it in a real, transparent, and fun way. The real benefit of being a part of a D-Group is the relationships that are built not only with peers but also with our amazing adult leaders.
These groups meet Wednesday nights from 5:30p to 6:30p. Ending just in time for R:C’s middle school service to begin.
Sunday discipleship: D-Groups
Sunday mornings at 10:00 am we meet and participate in a Sunday School unlike anything you've ever experienced before. Sunday D-Groups function a bit differently than their Wednesday night counterparts. These groups are more focused on the basics of Christianity, laying a foundation for the deeper discipleship on Wednesday nights. Join us in the KAC (main gym) for a time of fun before we break up into our small groups.
We also have a D-Group just for young men that meet Sunday nights during the evening service in room 311 (upstairs next to the sanctuary). This is an activity based group that will learn how and then go do. From camping, to rock climbing, to archery and wood working, we learn how to see God’s hand in everything we do.
Wednesday Nights: REvolution church @ 7 pm
Our middle school service meets every Wednesday night at 7pm in the lower gym. Come and experience the powerful praise and worship, relevant teaching, and lasting relationships for yourself. It will leave you inspired by passion, challenged to reach your full potential and amazed by a real encounter with Jesus. This a place full of people that will welcome you, leave you laughing and feeling like you can rise up to something bigger than yourself.
Camp Dates
On June 30 – July 3, 2008 we will once again be going to Black Lake for an incredible week of camp. Each year we bring in an amazing speaker, push the envelope of fun, and experience God in a real way. The cost for the camp will be around $200. Partial scholarships are available up to half of the price of the camp.
Volunteer & Leadership Opportunities
If you're interested in serving as a volunteer weekly or for special events, there's really a place for everyone.
Follow-Up: A team that helps new believers walk out those first crucial steps of their new life in Christ, and assists in connecting them into a D-Group!
Worship & Music: We are looking for those of you who have a talent as a musician, deejay, or singer to join our efforts in developing a dynamic, cutting edge worship experience.
Dance: This team will be performing in our Wednesday night service, events, outreaches, and various other activities throughout the year. If you know or can learn a few styles of dance and would like to use your talent for God's kingdom, this is the place to be.
Drama: Actors and actresses are needed for developing our drama team. This team will be ministering in our service, illustrated sermons, and creative videos.
Artists: If you have a gift to express your feelings through art you could use your talents during some of our worship services and in creating periodic designs for events, clothing, and drama sets. Also, you can help keep our stage design fresh with new looks and themes.
Prayer Team: Without prayer, all of what we do is completely in vain. The larger this army is, the better our success will be.
Major Events Team: This team will only be called up for duty on our major events throughout the year such as our summer camp or large scale outreaches. The duties may include set up and tear down, chaperoning, extra security and adult presence at large events, serving food, directing large flows of people traffic, working altar calls, major follow-up.
