Introduction
Technical Arts is about putting together through visuals and audio something which creates a mood or illustrates a form of expression that moves somebody - their spirit and their heart. Integrating that with church and ministry allows media to be used as an extremely powerful tool. It does not replace any ministry, but acts as a conduit for spreading the word.
Goals of Technical Arts
Our desire is to be culturally relevant. It's not about having something visually appealing or sounding good on Sunday morning - it's about helping people enter into worship by creating an appropriate atmosphere. Instead of being distracting, technology and its use should simply enable people to move in the spirit.
Our vision is to share an industry standard product with the rest of the world, whether it be through video, audio, or still images. Through technology, we can spread good teaching about the word of God throughout the world, and tell the stories of those who are a part of Life Center.
Volunteer Opportunities
From a technical standpoint, putting together a Sunday morning service takes a team of people - no one person can do it alone! If you have experience or would like to gain skills in technology, we have opportunities!
Specifically, on Sunday mornings we can use camera operators, lighting technicians, shading adjustors, song list operators, and directors to put together a cohesive presentation. Outside of Sunday mornings, we are looking for creative individuals with backgrounds in diverse areas of design.
