Introduction

Life Center’s newest ministry is designed entirely for young couples.  If you are married and in your 20’s to early 30’s then this ministry is for you.  The goal is to connect with other couples, commit to growth together, and activate our faith in the community.  We seek to know God’s plan for our personal and professional life, including our marriage, family, career, and Christian walk.  Join a group of people that are passionate about their faith, authentic about life, and eager to make a difference in the world.

Small Groups

The foundation of the young couples ministry is small groups.  Joining a small group is the best way to connect with others and commit to growth together.  They provide a relaxed environment where life is shared and relevant topics are discussed.   Small groups typically meet bimonthly at the convenience of its members.

Sunday Classes

A Sunday morning class will be available three times a year.  Once in the fall (September-October), once in the winter (January-February) and once in the spring/early summer (May-June).  Each class will be a 4 to 8 week series on marriage.  Come enjoy the fellowship, the fun, and the discussion.

Men’s Discussion Group 

Young men face some new issues at this stage of life, such as leading a family, providing for them, and trying to establish a career.  Whether we admit it or not, we can learn a lot from one another since we’re experiencing similar events.  On Saturday mornings we will have a time of fellowship and discuss the things that matter most.  Afterward we will have some fun playing basketball, flag football, dodge ball, or simply lifting weights.  Remember to bring athletic gear and be prepared to work up a sweat! 

Important information:  The discussion group will meet during the weeks and months a Sunday class is not offered.  For example, this year (2007) the fall class meets primarily in September and the discussion group will meet on Saturday mornings throughout October and November.

Young Women

Life Center offers a variety of things designed specifically for women.  For more information return to the Life Center home page and click on “Women.”  If you would like something exclusively for young women please contact Jordan Lee and share your thoughts.

Social Events

Sometimes it’s great just to hang out!  That’s why we plan events for everyone to get together and enjoy life with one another.  It could be a BBQ, bowling, going to a concert or restaurant, or simply gathering at someone’s house to talk.  These events will be frequently offered after the Saturday evening service.

Service

Every Christian should activate their faith by serving within the church and outside the church.  Small groups are a great setting for people to regularly use their gifts and talents within the church.  They also function as a vehicle for serving outside the church.  Each small group will be asked to complete a service project of some kind once or twice a year.  Faith should be made visible through action and this is accomplished through serving.
